So I went to my ultrasound on Friday and the technician told me that the baby is still breech (bum first).  She said that the baby still has time to flip but it should happen in the next couple weeks.  I then had a doctors appt. and he said the same thing.  He told me that he will wait and do an internal at 36 weeks to check and see if he flips.  If not a c section will be my only option.  WHat do you think?  Has anyone had their little one flip later in pregnancy than 28-29 weeks?

One of the girls DH works with is due same time as me, and she is in the same predicament. She opted to just go with the c-section as well to avoid putting the baby at risk. Hope your lil one turns for you!

Thanks ladies.  My doctor told me that some doctors will manually try to flip the baby but he won't do it.  He said he feels there is greater risk of doing something detrimental to the baby.  He would rather just do a c section than take a chance.  My mom also had a baby that was breech for her first pregnancy and the doctor tried to flip the baby manually and she ended up having a still born later that night.  She firmly believes it was because of the doctor trying to flip the baby so she won't allow that either.  I guess I will just try standing on my head for a little while.  Thanks.

Hi.  My baby didn't flip even after the ECV  and I ended up having a c-section BUT, my best friend had the eversion done as well and her baby did flip and she was able to have the baby vaginally.  The eversion hurt like crazy but I wanted to try anyways.  I think the success depends on how far along you are, how much room there is, and how you are physically.  My doctor too one look at me and said I doubt this is going to work...there's just no room and your abs are too tight.  It was worth the attempt but I have since had a VBAC and either way you bring the baby into the world, it's a beautiful experience. Best of luck.

I know it's possible for the baby to flip, and there are some things you can try to help the baby flip as well.  I've heard there are some things chiropractics or acupuncture can do to help with turning a breach baby (The same thing if the baby isn't in the correct spot I guess).  Also, Do downward dog some to see if that helps your little one find the way to flip.  You can also ask your dr to help flip the baby too.  I've heard it can be somewhat painful because they physically try to flip the baby but it might be worth it if you don't want a c-section.  Good luck!  I hope your baby flips!
