Newbie

Hello, I'm new to the site and just wanted to share my story. I am 21, married for almost 2 years and have had 2 miscarriages, the 1st one was October 30, 2009 at 10 weeks, it was a missed m/c and I had to have a d and c. My cycles resumed as normal and after waiting for the 2 months suggested by my midwife we got pregnant again in January of this year. One week after I missed my period I started bleeding and had a chemical m/c at 5 weeks on January 27th. It has been about 4 weeks and 2 days since then and I started spotting yesterday and am still spotting, I really just hope my cycle is about to start so I can ttc again. Oddly enough, I feel really hopefull this go around. Thank you, hope everyone gets their bfp's soon, Baby dust to all.

You can count Friday as CD 1 or Saturday.  I've heard some differing opinions on which is the right day.  I always thought the day of real red flow was always CD1, but some other ladies said that there RE's told them if AF shows after noon than the next day is CD 1.  I don't think it "really" matters as long as you are consistent.

Good luck and welcome to our group!!

Hi There.  welcome to our group.  I also had a missed m/c around 11 weeks and had to have a D&C.  I was lucky enough to get pregnant again after a few cycle and am 18 weeks now.  I also had a very painful first cycle after the m/c.  I would count CD1 as the first day that you had real flow.  I wouldn't count the spotting as day one.  I hope this helps.  you have found a very supportive group of women.

Thank you for you kind words of support!!! I have a question: I mentioned I started spotting on Friday, well I ended up starting a very painfull period that night (I heard those can happen after a natural m/c) and was wondering even though I spotted most of the day do I still count that as cd 1? I really feel like I should, but I thought I would check. Thanks!
