Ovulate after M/C...HELP?

I ovulated 11 days after M/C. Is that possible?
Since my M/C (sept. 9th) I didn't intend to check my ovulation until 11 days after my M/C. I had some left-over test strips so decided to pee on it just for fun. To my surprise, I got a smiley face. (By the way, I used the smiley face ovulation test strips by clearblue). Clearblue monitor says CD9 but its really CD11.
My question is, could I really be ovulating or could it just be left hormones? My understanding is ovulation only detect LH surge and not HCG. Am I correct? I'm so confused. Please help with any advice. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for responding. I'm still figuring out if I really did Oed, because I'm still spotting until this day. Can you possibly be O'ing and spot at the same time?

It is very possible you ovulated right after a m/c.  However, it's also true that the OPK's are not typically accurate until after a full cycle.  I got pregnant with this baby immediatly following my last m/c, although I wasn't trying to time cycles or anything, I had planned to wait until after AF.  I think I o'd just a week or so after my loss.  Good luck!!

So sorry to hear about your loss.

I think it is quite possible you are ovulating.  From what I understand you are more fertile right after a loss.  It never hurts to BD if you are feeling emotionally and physically up for it (assuming your doctor is ok with it too).

Thanks ladies. That sounds right. It was probably from left over hormones. I knew it was too good to be true. Thanks again!

I know that LH and HCG are smililar in chemical makeup and it is possible that an OPK could be picking up the HCG that you may have left in your system.  Did your dr follow your HCG level back to 0?

Of course, it is also possible that you are O'ing.  Our bodies can be such a mystery after a loss :(

Sorry I couldn't be more help . . . Good Luck!

Hi, If you read the instructions with your monitor they say that the results will not be accurate following a loss.

I know from personal experience after my M/C I tested and got postive HPT's for the first 3 weeks and positive OPK's for the whole 6 weeks it took to get my cycle back to normal.

I wouldn't like to say for sure if this is the case for you... but to cover all bases if you are TTC again I would suggest BD'ing every other day :)

Good luck
