I have pcos and don't have cyst on my ovaries just insulin resistance which caused me to have only a few periods a year till they found that and fixed it. First they told me I did not have it but another dr who specialized in pcos noticed it on the same blood work.

I agree with the other two ladies.

I don't have PCOS, but I have done some research on it.  I'm curious to know if you have officially been diagnosed with not having it?  I've seen many women told that they don't have, but only to find out later on that they do.  There has to be a medical reason why you are not getting a period.  If you can not get answers through your OB/GYN, I would suggest that you see a Reproductive Endocronologist; they specialize in fertility and like msteri said, can prescribe something to force your period to come.

I agree with msteri...I use to have very few cycles a year but I was too diagnose with PCOS....if it's not that it there has to be an explanation you should contact your doct or even a fertility specialist to get some test done and see the reason behind everything. And like msteri said doct can provide medication to force your cycle to come....best wishes

When I had 2-3 periods a year, it was because of PCOS.  If you don't have that, then you need to be evaluated to see what is preventing you from having a normal period.  There has to be some reason why your body is not having a regular menstrual cycle.  Your doctor is able to prescribe medication that will force your cycle to start.  Without having a cycle, it will be very difficult to get pregnant because you won't know when you are ovulating.
