when to do hpt??

Hi
I need some advice.
Here's my story: Had a natural m/c on the 1st of Jan (was between 4 and 6 weeks pregnant), stopped bleeding on the 7th of Jan, straight after the bleeding stopped we started to ttc, but that was just not my month, I got AF on the 29th Jan. Then I started a ovulation tracker on this forum, used opt. Did everything around and ovulation day according to the book. Now I'm on 5 dpo, when can I start doing home pregnancy test? Me and dh whats a baby so badly, hoping that the ttc days are over and that there's something growing inside already. Really don't what to rush the hpt as I don't to be disappointed when I get a "maybe" false negative.

.

It's so difficult to remain patient, I know I would start testing 2 to 3 days before my AF was due every month and spend a fortune on tests :-O  I'd say it's probably best to wait until your due date or one or two days after.  Good luck hun xx

thanks for all the comments, I appreciate them, although I wanted to test like right now, I'd rather then wait the extra few days! Really don't want to get dissapointed this time around!

For my first pregnancy I did not get a positive test until 2 days after AF was due.  I was due on a Wednesday but first BFP was on Friday.  I would wait just like cocacolapanda said.  Those tests can get very expensive, I wouldn't use them until you are absolutely sure you are late.

10DPO is the earliest they suggest testing,  however most women will still get a negative on 10DPO but get a positive at 13 or 14.  I've always tested on 13 or 14 because AF is due 13 DPO for me, and I prefer not to waste a test (As I like the clear blue digital one's that aren't just a dollar).

I would say to wait to test until about 13 or 14DPO.  Some tests will work at like 10DPO; however, if you do it that early you run the risk of a false BFN.  I know it is so hard to wait to test...I usually give in about 12DPO because I just want to know now!  LOL!  Good luck and SSBD!!
