The waiting game!

I am new here and looking for friends who are in the same boat!  I'm 31 yo and have had 2 micarriages over the past 2.5 months.  The first at 5 weeks then at 4.5 weeks.  I really want to try again straight away but have been advised by my dr to wait until after my next period.  She said that because I have had two in a row with no break in between, my body needs to heal, so I have decided to take her advice to increase my chances of having a successful pregnancy next time.  I'm just wondering, after such an early m/c, should I expect my period to return after 4 weeks- I normally have a regular 28 day cycle? If so, I will be TTC in May. If anyone else will be TTC in May, would love to hear from you! Good Luck everyone, so glad I found this site! Vanessa

Hi.  I'm sorry for your losses and I do understand wanting to try again right away.  It depends on your body when your period will return.  Mine didn't return until nearly 3 months after my miscarriage last year.  This actually worked out because my doctor told me to wait 3 months before trying again, so I was able to start trying as soon as my period returned.  I would definitely follow your doc's advise and give your body time to heal so that your next little bean has a secure spot to burrow in for 9 months.  When you are ready to TTC again, join the cycle buddies thread on this forum and you'll get the support of many wonderful women who are also TTC.  I hope AF rears her ugly head soon so that you're able to start TTC in May as planned.  Baby dust to you!

Im very sorry to hear about your loses!! Yes waiting until you have had your period is a good idea, time to heal like your doc said! With the period coming after a m/c, i had a m/c at 6weeks early december last year, and i had my next period 30days after i had the m/c. So i think as you were only a few weeks along like i was, then it should come on the right time. But like bernie said, many women will be very different.! Although my period came normally the first time, my 2nd 3rd and 4th cycles hav been very long...!! But im sure AF (aunt flow) will appear at the right time 4 u!

Yes there are many women in the same boat as us, join a few more threads like bernie said and you'll make loads of friends, medhelp girls have really helped me the last few months... :)

Hi I'm so sorry for your back to back losses.  I think that your period should come pretty much when you expect it following an early miscarriage but what I've learned over the last few months is that there is no "normal" and each of us is very different.

If you go on the cycle buddies thread you will meet everyone who is TTC and the belly buddies thread is all the lucky ladies who have gone on to have BFP's and subsequently healthy babies which gives all of us TTC's hope.
