Clomid? After miscarriages

Hello,
My story:
I have had 2 miscarriages in the past year. Both were blighted ovums. After many attempts of research, alternative treatments such as acupuncture and herbal treatments, my attempts were not successful.
Unfortunately, I think the acupuncture would have helped me with managing stress as well as lowering my fsh (that's another subject). But it could not continue due to insurance doesn't cover acupuncture as treatment. Other factors that may hinder my abilities to have a healthy baby are that I am 39 & have a high fsh. :-(
I have always wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember. This is all very sad & frustrating to me.
So, I have been seeing an excellent fertility doc in South Jersey who has a high success rate for couples in bringing home a baby. My question is: has anyone tried Clomid and had success after miscarriages?
Thank you

I am afraid I don't have the answers for you but hate to see posts going unanswered. I was prescribed Clomid after my miscarraige but I didn't have any luck with it, although I think it would of worked better for me if we had combined it with IUI as the Clomid gave me very infertile CM which caused a problem as my DP has a low sperm count.

Will you be trying any other fertility treatments like IUI?

Please don't feel despondant about being 39... lots of people do go on to fall pregnant against all the odds at your age and older! I am testament to that and after trying for a long time I am now 12 weeks pregnant (aged 40!) with a healthy baby and will be 41 when my baby is born :) You have probably already researched FSH levels on the net but I have read that people are able to lower their levels with diet.... I am not sure if this applies to you?

Good luck with the Clomid... if you decide to try make sure you do everything you can to keep your CM fertile, drink PLENTY of water, cut out ALL caffiene, take EPO from CD1 to the day you ovulate, drink grapefruit juice and cut out alcohol.... all of these things can help. If that fails invest in some Pre-Seed :)

I have done a couple of cycles of Clomid after our m/c; but still to no avail.  I've now moved onto Femara and we are trying to do an IUI soon.

tinkerbell gives some excellent advice!  Sorry, but I don't know much about high FSH levels.
