Anyone go to a chiropractor?

Has anyone gone to a chiropractor for back/neck pain?  Did this help, and what do they do?  I see ads in the paper all the time for chiropractors treating back pain, but my doctor says not to go.  I know that medical doctors do not like chiropractors, but if it helps....

Hi..I have been to a chiro also...but there r conditions dealing with ur neck and spine that u would want to avoid a chiro....so u need to MRI the area first and rule some of these conditions out bcuz a chiro will do more damage than good.

The conditions u need to avoid a chiro are chiari malformation and a syrinx, sometimes called syringomyelia.

Get checked b4 u see one!!

I used to have lower back problem, i went to the chiropractor and she did some crazy stuff that hurt like a mother at the time, after about 2 days, it felt better then ever. To this day, i only get the pains in short bursts, for about one day a month.
