Are there any surgeons or patients online here who have had a successful artificial Lumbar Disc Replacement as treatment for a stubborn Annular Tear?
I have been suffering from a very stubborn Discogenic pain in my L5/S1 joint for the last 15 years. My pain is very localized within the joint, and I believe it is from an internal Annular Tear. I have already tried all kinds of non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments over many years, but nothing was successful. In fact, only physio therapy and Disc Biacuplasty treatment provided short term relief but not satisfactory.
Hence I am now considering an Artificial Disc Replacement. However, as my pain is from a “chemical source” due to an internal Annular Tear, I am worried that my Disc Annuals may continue to generate pain even if the Disc Nucleus is replaced. I would be grateful for any advice.
