Cervical Fusion C5

I had cervical fusion with a cadaver bone implant to replaced a slipped disc C5 and a metal plate ten days ago and I'm actually feeling pretty good; the numbness on my thumb is almost gone and the pain and discomfort I had going down my left arm has stopped.  My questions is-I work doing collision repair (metal man) which is very physical work and I don't know if going back to this type of work is possible after having these things put in my spine--as far as I know, my surgeon said II will not have any restrictions after my recuperation period which is supposed to be four to eight weeks.  Is there anyone out there that can share information with me about their results.
