Cervical disk herniation C6-7

Hi, I'm Robyn.  I'm 47.  I was diagnosed with a herniated cervical disk In Sept.  I was referred to a surgeon.  The surgeon said i was a good candidate for an artificial disk.  Since this is failry new, i'm afraid of it.  I still haven't had surgery as of yet.  I can't do much cause of the pain.  The Dr. now recommends physical therapy.?  I was told by my primary care Dr. that p.t. would not be a good idea at all.  I'm writing here today to find other people out there that maybe going through pain, and disk (neck) problems, so i can be as much informed as possible.  So, jump in, and give me your feedback.  Thanks!
