Coccyx

Coccyx

I am just wondering whether I have Piriformis syndrome (coccyx related) I have been having muscle spasms/tightness in the right buttock for a long time, now it has spread to the left buttock as well. I cant find a comfortable mode of sitting, lying etc.  I cant sit for too long, and exercises around this area seems to make it worse.  Is it inflammation, is it treatable?  I have been to specialist about it and had MRI etc, he was not very helpful (I am deaf and had to use interpreter which makes it hard for me to be accurate in regards to the symptoms) he said it was a facet joint but nothing much else. Painkillers have not helped and I want to stay away from these as they make me constipated. Could bowel movements affect the coccyx?  I hope these questions are relevant. I am in good health otherwise.
Sincerely, Diana

Hi,sorry to know that. I think you should have a examination by spinal doctor,I guess that you possibly suffer from soft tissue injuries around L4-S1,which can lead to muscle spasms/tightness in the your buttock due to conductibal pain. Deep tissue massage and intensive needles in lower back and buttock can help . Good luck!
