Degenerative Disc Disease

Is it possible to have digestive problems as well as muscle weakness from disc disease and bone spurs?  My C4,5 & 6 discs are herniated and have been for a very long time.  I had a car accident in June 1986 which started my symptoms.  In 1999, I had a fundoplication procedure done for reflux which helped alot.  But my arm and neck pain got much worse after starting my home daycare in 2003.  I remember crying at the physical therapists office the pain was so bad.   I had 3 epidurals following and finally the third one did the trick.  Since then my quality of life has been so so.  Around the last few months of 2010, I noticed my work suffering.  Unfortunately, I think so have my daycare parents and kids.  I have been experiencing extreme fatigue, left arm and leg weakness, nausea and extreme dizzyness, the sensation of my blood sugar dropping, unable to speak or sounding incoherent when I finally do speak during an episode, heartburn, hemorrhoids, dificulty passing gas, urinary, bowel and vision disturbances.  I stopped eating solid food around the first of May and began only eating soups, yogurt, crackers and Ensure drinks.  After my doctors appointment, he put me back on reflux meds.  Thinking the medicines were working, (heartburn gone) I ate solids again.  I had excrutiating stomach pain last night which has happened before.  Oh I almost forgot, approximately 2 years ago, a CT scan showed a small bowel obstruction.  During the exploritory surgery, they were not able to locate the obstruction.  Two days ago, I had an MRI done on my brain to rule out a mass.  Since I have not heard back from the doctor, I will assume there is no mass (which I suspected).  Is it possible that my neck disease has progressed to the point that nerves are being pinched to effect other body functions?  I am at my wits end.  Please help me.

My mom has had chronic back pains for years and she would only get relief from the epidural injections. With times what they are and the cost of them we have not been able to afford them as of late. We also started to look at her diet and trying to see if some of the common elements in western diet might be causing inflammation as a compounder. We had her started on a corticosteroids  for a bit to. I ran across a article http://www.dailyrx.com/news-article/finding-pattern-pain-11027.html   that tied into some of the meds she was on.
