LOWER BACK PAIN

I have RA and OA.  I had a back xray yesterday.  My lower back has arthristis.  The bones are on bone. What will this mean for me in the future?

Thank you please answer.

Have you had an osteoprosis (DEXA) scan?  You should know the health of the vertebra structure!   If you actually do have completely collapsed lumbar vertebrae then you need artifical disc spacers and a fusion.  You must fee up the spinal nerves as they exit the column.  Could make a world of difference in your health.

you may also have ankylosing spondylosis and depending on your pain level, surgery may be able to help you there as well.  More info is needed than "bone on bone" as the back is a very complex structure.
