Neck Pain, Progressively worsening!

Neck Pain, Progressively worsening!

It began in March with on an off right sided neck pain, controlled with motrin or aleve.  Then in April addition of pain in the shoulder, elbow, and numbness to my right forearm ring and small finger.  I finally got in to see the Neurologist in May, and after spending a short time with him he ordered a nerve conduction study which is scheduled for next week.  Since May I would need to add generalized weakness to my right arm, and uncontrollable headaches at the base of my neck and motrin/aleve does not do much for me.  I also now have numbness in my left hand fingers and top of hand.  When I saw the Neurologist in May it was suggeted that I wait until fall and "see how things are going".  Will this nerve conduction study be able to tell me if this is neck related? Should I be more patient and continue the wait or is it time to be more assertive and discuss scheduling an MRI?

Yes, The nerve conduction study will tell you that this is neck related.
And it's time to discuss scheduling an MRI.
But,don't rush to surgery.Alternative med can help most of them.
Good luck!
