Rash and upper back pain

I broke out in a severe rash on my arms two days ago along with mild upper back pain.  The rash has spread all down my arms and legs and a little on my stomach and chest.  The back pain has steadily gotten worse and now comes in waves of stabbing pain mainly under my should blades and sometimes causes me to just double over.  What is this and what do I  do?

Hey.  Thank you for posting here. I dont feel like a freak as much.  I recently moved and figured the pain was from heavy lifting.  But been settled in for a while now and the pain is getting worse, esp under my left shoulder blade. Now I have this odd rash over and below where the pain is. During all this, as if I needed more, the consitpation and front rib pain is almost unbearable. Im scared to eat because my rib cage in the front hurts so bad.  I am slightly overweight (5 foot 2, 160 pounds).  I have a heck of a time sleeping.  I have a physically easy job, thank goodness but I am tired of the pain and now this weird rash shows up.  I am almost in tears just from fear and frustration. The front of my ribs are tender to the touch. I will be seeing a dr but I do not have insurance and will have to go to urgent care. Please keep  me posted.

The presence of the rash may not have any connection to your upper back pain.  The rash appears to be generalized and not contained to any specific body part.
The rash could be related to an allergic reaction to some irritant or exposure to any type of irritant that has resulted in a form of dermatitis.
The upper back pain and shoulder pain do need further evaluation as we are not medical doctors and can not assess symptoms in terms of possible diagnoses.  It would be beneficial for you to schedule an appt with your primary care doctor for a medical exam and diagnostic testing as indicated.
Post with an update and any additional questions/concerns you may have.
Best wishes ----
