Recently Diognosed with Adhesive Arachnoiditis

I was recently diaognosed with adhesive arachnoiditis.  I have been to so many doctors and had so many tests before the latest one figured out what I have.  Now they tell me there is no cure and nothing they can really do to help me to stop the progression of it.  They are sending me to a PHRS doctor to see if he can help me with the pain.  I really don't want to live on pain meds the rest of my life.  I work a full time job and have four grown children.  My last one is a senior in high school and is going to college next year.  So not working isn't a choice at this time.  I have looked this illness up on the internet but I was wondering if anyone else has it and if they can give me any guidence?  What should I expect or what will I have to indure?  I would love to hear from anyone!  Thanks for listening.  Kim

I also suffer from severe back pain due to adhesions.  It sometimes feels like something is constantly pulling on my kidneys.  My doctors don't believe that I hurt like I do.
