Scoliosis spine and chiropractor

I'm 40 years old but have had back problems most of my life.  I just recently started seeing a chiropractor and he did 6 xrays of my spine and noticed that I have a scoliosis looking spine.  My tail bone swings to the right, my right hip is a little higher then my left, my lumbar area is a bit twisted, my cervical area is bowing out to the right and my neck is poker straight instead of having a natural curve.  After years of pain and no doctor being able to tell me why I finally went to the chiro.  My question: Does anyone have/had scoliosis and then went to a chiro with success?  He recommended I have at least 30 visits to try to get me out of pain but I want to hear of someone having as many back issues as myself having successful treatments.  Also after having got out of pain, how often do you have to go back to be "tweaked"?
