Thank you for the repy . I ended up going to emergency and was given antibiotics, the doctor figures I had sinusitis. I had sinusitis one other time when I was 17 so 30 myears afo and I don't rewcall having a stiff neck that was very sore. It since has passed, but yesterday my headaches have returned, just a normal headache not like a migraine type headache. Who knows..Frustrated as my father went in the hospital witj pneominia nove 24th and is still there, they don't give us much info and now they don't know what is wrong, they have found an abscess on his muscle in the leg so they want to look and see what the lump is..He has been out ofr icu for a week and on a regular ward now, he has hallucinations, paranoia, see;s things that are not there, his feet and hands are swollen, they continue to do a number of tests and don't know what is wrong. Tired of misdiagnoses, and this man looks like he is on his death bed. For myself I have had many misdianoses in my life. These days it seems doctors just don't care anymore, I know some do but for the most part, they never listen to the patient or family nor do they advise us of anything, and the nurses are just as bad. Not sure what happened to the medial system in Canada but the doctors are doing less then they once did, some say it's because the pay is to low, then they shoold be in another job. One would think they would pick a profession because they care about people, not money, see a lot of that now a days. Just frustrated lost my husband n Jul from a massive heart attak due to doctors not looking into things when we tried to tell them something was wrong, and now my dad may be next. It is just disheartening, that money has become the reason anyone does any type of job. Thank you for listening and God Bless, hope you have a blessed Christmas.
Hi there!
Yes, your pharmacist is correct. Though slight neck stiffness could be present in few cases of migraine or cervical issues; more than mild/ gross stiffness could be indicative of serious conditions such as meningitis which would require immediate medical attention. It would be best to have this evaluated as soon as possible for appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care!
