back pain and cyst

i have had pain in my back for about five years now and had steroid injections, therapy and meds from vicodineto percocet to oxycotin 80mg. i have problems at L 5,6 and 7 hernated disc,slipped disc and arthritis.the pain is more prevalent on my left side,from lower back down to my feet, the pain on my right side is more localized.i  have recently been told that i have a cyst in my back, right side. i am wondering if the cyst is some of the cause for some of my back pain. i have also had surgery to both knees .the left knee i had meniscetomy. i am 60 yesrs old,but i don't think i should hurt like this and is there anyone else that have a cyst in the back and what do you do about it,if anything    tinamae
