coccyx

i got kneed up my bum 2days ago and my coccyx started hurting,it is swollen and i am in allot of pain. i cant sit down for too long as it aches allot and i find it very hard to sleep as it in on my matress. what can i do to help it?

Yeah, I've been there and that really, really hurts.  I just had to let it heal on its own.  I don't remember how long it took since it was so long ago.  I actually fell on a rock.  I would suggest an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen, try not to sit on your behind as much as possible.  Lay on your side or maybe try to sit on a pillow or one of those "donuts".  Good luck.
