I have Psoritic Arthritis, Spondlysosis, fluid on spine, bulging disk, degenerative end plate,.... & conjoined left L5 and S1 nerve root with the foraminal narrowing. Oh my goodness. I have been in so much pain the last two yrs. I take Enbrel for the PA. Please tell me how y'all got some relief. My quality of life has been zero for the last 2 yrs.
I realize that your accident was almost a year go, and by now, hopefully you have found some definitive diagnosis & treatments. Just incase you haven't, I'd follow up with your neurologist/neurosurgeon to perform myelography of your lumbar area. It is a bit difficult procedure for patients to undergo (very painful), but that is the only definite way to determine your conjoined nerve roots.
I was diagnosed in 1991 at the age of 21, just the night before my bulging & herniated disc surgery that never took place once myelography confirmed of CLNR (conjoined lumbosacral nerve roots) @ L4 & L5. We waited too late which the entire L4&5 nerves down to my right big toe was completely damaged. And YES, the pain was so severe where I couldn't sit, walk, stand up straight, you name it all!
20 years later, I've learned to live with the pain which comes & goes, and tonight, I've been wanting to find out if more people were diagnosed with CLNR & new treatments for it. Hope you both are well & better. Let me know if you are cured and how the docs helped you.
thanks!

Did you have an MRI? CAT Scan? EMG? Who is "they" that have diagnosed you? It would help to know all of these things. I'm about your age and have been through a lot these past few years with the "lumbar" nightmare. I'll check back to see if you update the post. How long ago were you injured? Bulges can cause severe pain...
