Hi wendlulu.  :)

First let me tell you how happy we are that you have found us here on the Back & Neck Community here on MH ( MedHelp ).   :)

I'm so sorry that you have had this happen to you.  I ENCOURAGE  you to call your Doctor, if this is still happening, and go in to see what's going on.  As remar said, it may be something as simple as a pulled or stained muscle, but it would definitely be wise to check this out.

May I ask if you are a smoker? The ONLY reason I ask is because of what you said about the lung problems that you read about on the Internet.  You said this occurred in smokers but you didn't say you're not a smoker.  You seemed a little concerned about this and that's one reason I suggested that you do see a Doctor to alleviate your worries.  :)

I hope that you will let us know what the Doctor says, as well as how you are doing.

We'll be looking for your updates and look forward to hearing from you!

I recommend you see your Dr. It's really hard to say what might be going on. It could be one or more things like a pulled muscle or a vertebrae out of place.Have you tried an over the counter pain reliever or ice on your back to see if that helps? Many times a Dr will recommend alternating heat and ice.
It does sound like you have a vertebrae out of place and a chiropractor could help with that. I recommend you see your family Dr first though to rule out anything else and to ask if he/she thinks it's a good idea to see a chiropractor.
