pain after surgery

I am going to have surgery the doctor is going to take the piece of disc the broke off and is causing scatic nerve pain. I was wondering how long will I be in pain after surgery will it be really bad It is very scary  . If anyone has had this done please let me know thank you .

How bad is it now, are u able to walk?

Is there any way to know if never is damaged before surgery and will I still have bad days.

I don't think anyone can tell you how long you'll be in pain after surgery, but once the pressure is taken off the nerve, it shouldn't take that long for you to feel better,unless the nerve is severely damaged.
