hi thanks for my reply it was a great help, with the spina bifida its at s1, which i think is at the bottom of my spine, so will i have to put up with this pain all the time, and is it the spina bifida occulta that cause it

For most fo patient suffering from spine bifida,Cause of pain IS NOT due to spine bifida,not to say bifida occulta. So,My opinion is that you should go to see another reputable doctor for second opinion.(is it possible to soft tissue injury ?)
Another suggestion is you could try deep and intensive acupuncture,which is good solution for inflammation relief.
