si joint pain and leg tingling

I have chronic pain in my right si joint area.  It is expecially painful when I am in a sitting position and I lift my leg, or when I am driving and lift my leg to go from the gas peddle to the brake or vice-versa.  Anti-inflammatories help, but just to a certain extent.  My right leg is now tingling and "aching" in front of leg and some in the backmost everyday down into my foot, but my orthopaedic doctor doesn't think it is my sciatic nerve because of a few positions she has put me in to try to "trigger pain".  I have gone to physical therapy for about 5 weeks, and immediately after they do the therapy, I would experience relief, but with 30 minutes it would come back.  I'm not sure what the cause is.
thank you

Ask your p t about trying a si joint belt, also try going to a pain clinic, i have had a lot of pain in my left si joint and recently had nerve ablation done which has really helped. This is a fairly new procedure so you might have to ask about it.

I think it is sciatica, just because some of the test the doctor did, didn't trigger the pain you feel, doesn't mean you don't need a M.R.I. Some times we have to insist on test from our doctors. If he refuses, find another doctor. You might even try spinal decompression from a chiropractor if the M.R.I. has no or minimal findings. But you need the M.R.I and I would insist on it. Keep us informed about the M.R.I.

Hope I Help
