Acute Lumbar Strain or something else??

Had an accident lastnight, was messing around and fell wrong. My lower back popped and I had severe pain. I could walk fine just alot of pain. I went to the er and they didnot do an x-ray they just said it was Acute Lumbar Strain..well
when I cough my back hurts, i see sparks and my hands go tingly from the pain. I doNOT have a dr. and best I could do is GO back to the er if it gets worse. I also donot have meds so I woke up and have severe pain!

the pain is not constant, just when I move. I iced my back, and walk around.
it is in the Lumbar area however:

should I return to a diffrent er to rule out injury or am I just being too worried?
it concerns me when I cough and I see sparks and tingling hands. =/

not sure what is wrong but I trust they know what they are doing...IF it were a break or a worse injury I wouldn't be walking. they didn't seem to care and they seemed to think it was nothing to be worried about such as the severe pain. the dr refused an x-ray..I went in there did a pee test, they talked to me then gave me ibprofane (it helped) and sent me home.
is the pain causing me to get sparks and tingling hands?
I do have panic attacks but this came on after I coughed

The Er staff wasn't too concerned. the tingling hands were caused by my panic attacks. I have not had tingling hands today. my back pain isnot as bad as it was yesterday although it is still there. I am sure I will be fine for now until  can get medical.

Im not an expert, although it seems you need immediate medical treatment, my advise would be an accredited chinese doctor who uses accupunture, and puts you back in place before you get some serious muscle or nerve damage!!!
