Back and Pelvic pain

Please help. I've had moderate back pain for over a week. It's not severe but very uncomfortable and it hurts to walk, sit and bend.  If it is a disk/spine problem, wouldn't I also have pain in my leg and sciatic nerve ??
Plus, now the pain is also in my pelvic lower abdominal area on both sides. I did have a urinalysis, no infection.
I can't tolerate pain meds at all, and I don't know which kind of doc/specialist to even go to. Any advice? Thanks.

Don't go to a Chiro ("good Chiropractor" is an oxymoron) they could make it worse. Go to an orthopaedist, who has real medical training. I have pain in my middle back even with the top of my hip. It radiates over one hip. It doesn't go anywhere else. It is a worn disk problem causing that nerve to be pinched. Only an MD who can read an MRI can tell you what's going on in your particular case. He will tell you the cause and whether or not you need physical therapy, medication, surgery, bed rest, or whatever. If  it's necessary, s/he will refer you to a neurosurgeon or a rhumatologist for other opinions.

You call yourself hope4horses, so I wonder if you ride. An orthopaedist would take that into consideration as well. If you ride, I'd give that a rest until you know for sure what's going on.

Have you had a MRI or any kind of test?  Go to your PCP and see what they think.  Could be disc, spine, or back strain.  Go to a good Chiro, and have him check you SI joints.  If they are out, they can cause pelvic pain.  sweetpotatoe57
