Back and bowel issues is it Due to accident?

First of all hello,
I'm posting here because I need a little advice.
I had a small accident where a car hit me at about 20mph from behind while we was stationary.
I went to the hospital straight away because it hurt my shoulder, i felt as if my muscle was ripped out, but since then (6 wk ago) My whole back has gradually got worse and I am having BAD stomach problems so i'm Kinda worried....Well alot actually. But in a nutshell here it is and the reason I am writing it like a diary is because I would like a clear evaluation if anyone can

Sept 1. Shoulder pain, then hospital ..hospital prescribed Co=Codamol 8/500
Sept 2.Couldn't Sleep with pain so I went to Dr prescribed 30/500 Co-Codamol instead ,I was getting lower back issues aswell
Sept 5 Shoulder and neck went stiff like a rock and so did under chin
Sept 7 Lower back and all down my left leg was hurting It has stopped me walking a distance.(walking now makes me sweat and brings me to tears, and believe me I'm not the type of guy to shed a tear.
Sept 10 I am struggling to pass urine,(meaning i'm having to concentrate on getting a constant flow as the feeling isn't there and it feels I am pooping glass(solid stool) sexually i'm not getting it up.
Sept 15.Went to Dr and was prescribed ZYDOL instead
Sept 20 I Went Physio and she sent me straight to hospital, and while i was there I had the embarrassment of a finger going up the anus, and while i was there I had a MRI that came back a lower lumber issue or something (d4 maybe I can't remember I think its the drugs what make me forget)
Sept 21 I had Dr's again and told him of the pain and the tablets wasn't working, so he prescribed me MORPHINE (20ml per day but I haven't taken that much as i don't want to get addicted to the stuff, I take it when I can't manage the pain no more)
Sept 22  My anal started to hurt( not surprising after a finger has been up there maybe eh)
Sept 23 Tried walking and it felt as if my anal was rubbing together
Sept 24 Almost passed out eyes were open but all I could see was black
Sept 28 Pins and needles in penis
Sept 29 Left leg wouldn't move atall, I had to pick it up for the first hour of the day, stomach pains, sweating and feeling ill, high tempreture
Oct 1 Went to Dr's and we spoke of the issues downstairs and prescribed me GABAPENTIN 300mg 3 times a day
That night Laying in bed and thought I wet myself,I felt a hot sensation on the inside of left leg.,still got stomach
Oct 3 Bum doesn't feel normal, it hurts to touch, I've got stomach pains GRR
Oct 8 Still got stomach pains (left side)and feel sick Ive been sweating all day And I have serious diarrhea
Oct 9 Diarrhea gone didn't eat atall
Oct 11-13 Didn't eat
Oct Ate full dinner ( was lovely)
Oct 15 Feeling ill again sweating & diarrhea again the first one alot of blood came out and not a small amount,it actually scared me the others were like passing glass
Oct 16 Been getting prickly pins and needles, and I was watching tv and it was flashing blue, it made me feel sick just to look at the tv I had to look away.

Now every day my neck/back/shoulder/hip/left leg has hurt but i'm more worried about my stomach/bum/diarrhea, I can't seem to shift my stomach ache and feeling ill, its been there constantly, the diarrhea is on and off but the bloody stool has made me write this.I don't want to loose weight and I have started to, I don't want this to be an issue, this is why I am asking for help.
I have been getting ill for 3 days with high temp then I am better for a day and then when I eat I am real ill again, I'm 33 and was physically fit with a bmi of what was 29.5, and 5ft 7.
The pills I am on is 1 GABAPENTIN 3 times a day,and 4-8 four times ZYDOL a day, I take the Morphine as and when the pain gets too much but i am disciplined in what I take.
Is what I am going through normal for whiplash?

Anyone who reads this, I'd prefer a professional opinion

Thanks Mark

I think I know what you're talking about when you say it doesn't seem like your brain knows how to tell your backside to work. I had that problem too before i had a microdiscektomy for a herniated disc between my L5/S1. It was pinching on my nerve and i didn't know how to walk on my right side anymore. Also, my whole bottom half was numb from the waist down. I couldn't even feel if my bladder was full or not, not to mention sex drive. This numbness made me easily startled and I would twitch like someone falling asleep with a whole body twitch. I would jump if someone, or even if I, touched a part of my lower half that was numb. If I rubbed that part my brain had no idea where the sensation was coming from or whether it was a threat or not. That's what caused the exaggerated twitching and startled jumping. It was extremely frustrating. Has your surgeon mentioned surgery at all??

I have many of the problems u talk about -to me it sounds like a combination of nerve trauma and meds -possibly around the L5. I have lost some peristolsis to the lower bowel and unless i am real carefull and take laxatives regularly i have problems -but laxatives can cause reliance so diet and fluids (and prunes) are the best way if they are enough...

That's the thing when I had the MRI I told the surgeon it feels as if my brain can't talk to my backside to tell it how to work, then later( like now) it's not working, weird iono.

I'm glad to hear that it is nothing serious so far! Keep me posted and good luck with everything! I'm really sorry you're in so much pain. It always helps me to live one day at a time knowing that each day I will feel a little better than the day before.

Well, I went to the Dr today and he said the tablets are making my anus hurt and he said I was blocked up (even tho i went twice this morning) and gave me some suppository and some powdered medicine to mix with water,he says that's why i am getting  stomach pains. ...........

PLEASE READ and take this into serious consideration! It sounds like one of the problems with your back is a herniated spinal disc. This can cause the numbness in the pelvic region, pins and needles sensation, and radiating pain. Also there is a condition that can happen later after a herniated spinal disc that is a serious condition that can cause permanent nerve damage and possible paralysis. It is called CAUDA EQUINA and you seem to have some of the major symptoms. One is incontinence. You said it felt like you may have wet yourself? This can be very serious. I would go to the ER and get another MRI and tell them your symptoms again of the back pain and how it felt like you may have wet yourself. An MRI will tell you if you have cauda equina syndrome, which needs to be treated surgically within 48-72 hrs for best results! Also please let me know what you find out! Good luck and hope all is well!
