What does pain between shoulders when swallowing and hyper salivation mean ?

About three months ago, I began to hyper-salivate, have pain in my esophagus, and difficulty swallowing.
I went to doc who prescribed a pump inhibitor, to no avail. Another doctor, fluconozole, which seemed to aggravate it, but eventually it subsided. Three weeks ago, after starting to exercise after years of inactivity, my symptoms returned. I wanted to attribute it to a pulled back muscle, but it's not going away. This time I want the problem resolved. I don't know whether to see an ear, nose, throat specialist, or a regular internist. Oddly, I CAN eat and keep down Oreo cookies ! I'm not kidding. I think my body recognizes them so readily that it's near impossible to reject them. I had severe difficulty today trying to deal with some chicken noodle soup. Please, if anyone has some real and serious observations and advice, I'd be appreciative.
