Calcified discs are pretty common, I'm sure everything's going to be fine.
Good luck tomorrow, you're going to feel pretty beat up after its over. I know I did.
Let us know how it went, when you're able.
I'm partially worried because the disc is calcified, which I believe makes the surgery much more difficult. I did some research and found a product, Complication Insurance, that is exactly what I'm looking for. However, they can't sell me a policy because they aren't admitted in Florida yet. For $100, I can buy $250,000 in coverage should I have a catastrophic outcome. My surgery is tomorrow and I am getting more nervous by the minute. Wish me luck.
Are you worried because the Surgeon told you that? They have to tell you that, its required. I had the same exact surgery, you're going to be fine, their not going to nick anything. They take tumors off the spinal cord, they can very easily handle a disc herniation. Let us know how it goes or if you have any questions.
