Can't sit

I have L5 S1 DDD and moderate spinal stenois.  They say I do not need surgery.  Have not been able to sit since March, and I am getting worse.  I have had 2 caudal epidual, and a piriformis muscle injection.  Chronic nerve damage at L5 S1, but healed.  Much swelling in buttox.  No relieve from the shots.  Loss of left leg, and cannot lay on back, left side, stomach, and just small amounts on right side.  Terrible weakness everywhere.  I also have 2 small tarlov cysts on the S1 nerve root, and in the central canal at L5 S1, which everyone says in a NON-ISSUE!  They say from all the MRI's, and test, that I should be having a normal life, but I am totally disabled.  I have done PT, and all I can do is be up for short periods of time.  I am having musle spasms all the time in my middle back, and burning in the arms and sides of my body.  Anyone with the same?  Also have buttox pain, burning in the vagina, at times, and rectal pressure, and spasms.  Every test comes back normal.  EMG was done July 26th, and the Dr. said I should be having a normal life.  Take Gabapentin, bacaflen, and tylenol, and advil.  What about a orth doc?????

Never give up.  Go to 'specialists' such as neurologists, neurosugeons, pain clinic docs or other pain management docs.  Do not stop until you find the answers and the procedures that can be done to control your pain.  An orthoped doc would be another excellent option.

Just DON'T GIVE UP.  These docs have gone to school an extra of at least 2 years after med school so that they may become a specialist.  There is someone out there that can help you, even if you have to go to 100 docs.  My own sister is a neurologist in Salt Lake City; I live in Overland Park, KS.  That is the exact answer or 'comment' that she said to me last week and I am starting on Methadone for the pain next week.

With Much Sympathy,
