I have foraminal stenosis with 33% compression of the nerve on the RT @ C6. I have an EMG scheduled tomorrow. Hopefully we can compare that with the one that was done before this last surgery and see how much damage has been done. I drop stuff all the time with my rt hand and arm. I was doing some research and found that the instruments used in my procedure where not recommended with someone who has Leukocytosis. The PEEK cage. My Leukocytosis has been Dx as Idiopathic, as 2 bone marrow Bx's have not been able to show anything. Wondering if my body may be rejecting the material in the PEEK or causing excessive bone growth. I would hate to have to do a revision because of a rejection, but if it would mean having a more successful outcome I might would consider it. I don't want to be on disability Im only 42.
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Yes, impingement of cord can cause pain. However, this can improve with correct posture, physiotherapy, neck exercises, spinal manipulation (if possible post surgery), and traction (again if possible post surgery). Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care!
