head moving

My head moves on its own and it makes a squishy noise when i turn my head but when i press on the area it stops both the noise and moving. Its really embarrassing when your looking at someone and ure head is shaking and moving

Do i have to have a needle or operation or would they give me tablets ??

I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with "essential tremor."  It's a resting one so I never noticed it before when I would look in the mirror combing hair or putting on makeup.  But I did notice my neck seemed to be wobbly when I was driving.  So I would put the car seat straight up and balance my head and neck on it.  I was having numbness and tingling in my hand that sent me to the doctor and they asked about the tremor in my head.  Yeah,  it is embarrassing.  My co-workers said they noticed it all the time especially when I was stressed.  They never said anything because they thought I knew and didn't want to embarrass me.  In short, it was inherited, nothing to be concerned about if it is an essential tremor.  Make an appointment with a neurologist to rule out other tremor disorders.  Good luck.
