MRI Results Awaiting

I had an MRI on my lower back yesterday and am waiting the results. any advice on questions i should be prepared to ask my Primary doctor who is getting the results. i've been having aching lower back pain for over a year and its gotten progressively worse over the past few months. At times the pain shoots down my legs and also my tailbone has been sensitive and painful at the slightest touch. i am very concerned and am looking for answers to help manage the pain. any inputs ? Thanks in advance!

My suggestions:

1. Is surgery necessary?
2. Non-surgical options?
3. Activities/exercises that will not aggreviate your lower back
4. Pain management/medication(s)?
5. Referral to a Spine Specialist/Orthopedic Specialist/Neurosurgeon?

You don't know the results yet, so it is kinda difficult to recommend what to ask
your primary physician.

Keep us posted.
