Neck/Arm Pain and MRI Results

Hi everyone,

I had an ACDF on C5-6 four years ago and had a great recovery (had right-sided neck/arm/hand pain and tingling). A few weeks ago, I woke up with a new pain in my neck (with shooting pain down left arm and into right shoulder).

I understand most of my newest MRI results, but have questions on a few findings.

1) Mild degenerative endplate bone marrow signal changes are noted along the superior endplate of C7 and inferior endplate of C4.

2) Small focus of increased T1 and T2 signal along the inferior aspect of the T4 vetebral body demonstartes loss of signal on STIR and probably represents a small focus of fat infiltration.

3) At C2-C3 and C3-C4, mild bilateral facet arthropathy is noted.

Any 'translation' and help is greatly appreciated. The earliest appointment for a physiatrist is late September.

Thanks!
Karen

Thanks. The only other abnormality/finding in the report is that there is a small protrusion of C6-C7, but it is not pressing on the cord and the foramen are open still.

Facet arthropathy can cause neck pain but aside from that, there's nothing on here that would explain the pain you're having, what else did the report say?
