Lower back/hip pain that extends down thigh

For about 6 mos now I have experienced lower back and right hip pain. My doctor diagnosed me with Glute Medius Syndrome. The pain subsides during rest but starts to act up once I get in the car and start driving to work. Any suggestions on how to alleviate the pain?

the key with pain is we instantly focus on it

you must teach yourself to look elsewhere

teach it pain is ok or other mind tricks

i use martial arts and adhd has enormise tolerance level

im in hell no pain scale for my invisible cage

but my mind is now shutting it out its there its horrible but your not focused on it

because of abuse growing up i tough my mind pain is good means im working hard and not worthless

look up focus meditation and self hypnoses

those and the links may help to live on less pain killers

good luck

If you do not have spine disease, you can try to alter your posture while driving.

Perhaps raising one hip or the other will reduce your pain?

Or getting better support for your legs?

However, I've never heard this diagnosis. Please ask your doctor what it means. Is it a problem with the small gluteas muscle, like a piriformis syndrome, where chronic contraction of this muscle causes back pain? Is it a pinched nerve at the nerve root caused by disc disease? What is the nature of this problem, anatomically and physiologically?
