chest and back discomfort

I am 20 year old female and about 1 month 1/2 ago started feeling chest/back pain on my left side. It's only when I am in a certain position. Usually when I am flat on my back. Have asthma and am a smoker, but doesn't feel like my lungs. Pain is around rib area but can't tell if it's chest, back, or both. But its not going away.

Same but I don't smoke at all. And mine is right in the middle of my chest and back. And it hurt to breathe

I would go get it checked out. You are 20 years old and a smoker, you are at risk for a pulmonary embolism.  Do you take contraceptives?  This can increase your risk greatly.  Could be nothing but I would just get it looked at if it were me.
