Scoliosis MRI Question

I am new to this forum & have read some of it & hope you all can help.  My 11 yr old daughter has severe scoliosis.  Bracing has not helped so we did an MRI yesterday of her spine.  Her Cervical spine shows that "there is 5 mm of cerebellar tonsil descent below the projected plane of the foramen magnum on the right side." "There is no evidence of syrinx, spine segmentation anomaly, or spinal cord tumor."  Can someone help me understand this?  Is this something in addition to her scoliosis?  I have scoliosis also & I also have multiple sclerosis.  In reading the different things about this cerebellar tonsil ectopia, I have seen some of the symptoms with the headaches, pain, etc.  I have those symptoms, but she doesn't.

I appreciate any helpful advice you can give me.  Thanks.

I do not know.  The Spine Dr we saw Monday didn't tell us anything about it.  I had asked for a copy of the CD because she was so scared when they did the MRI the technician suggested that I get a copy so she can see what all the MRI takes pictures of.  Well when I did, I also got copies of the report.  I am going to try to call the surgeon that we were referred to now & see if he has even looked at the report yet.  Thanks for any help & info.
