Severe chronic neck/scalp pain

I have been suffering for 3 years now, with severe neck, shoulder, and scalp pain. It is being duagnosed as degenerative disc disease, The pain is constant!!  It is almost unbearable. I have been to so many doctors, and tried so many different drugs. I do not know where to turn. The muscles across my scalp is awful. I massage it all the time. Is there anyone else out there that suffers with this?  What helps??  I am 60 years old and I do still work. It is not easy, but I must.
I am new here, so thank you all so much. The degeration is in c-1,2,3   and bulging c5 and 6

Please could you tell me which meds you are taking that have relieved your pain? I have the same issues as you do and I sometimes feel I cannot cope any longer. Thanks!

Are you on any medication? Have you ever tried a TENS unit? I have one and while it doesn't take away the pain, it help while I have it on. It blocks the pain signals and kind of feels like a tiny massage. You can't put it on your head but you could put it on your c spine.
