I have the same problem - spinal stenosis in both the cervical and lumbar areas of my neck and back, so I really feel for you.
A Mylogram is to check for possible tumors or an infection, but it can also check your discs for herniation. Your Doctor may just be checking to make sure it's not some other problem.
I'd hate to have a surgery and then find out later it couldn't correct my problem and that more test could have showed that prior to surgery. I know the tests can be very expensive but the wrong surgery can be worse.
Good Luck
Pat
I don't know what more he can get from a Mylogram - you might "Google" it. I'm sorry you are dealing with spinal stenosis - I can relate: I have spinal stenosis in my neck and lower back plus a host of other issues. I am in a lot of pain right now, but the neck pain is not my main problem any more since I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted back in March. It helps tremendously with the pain I had in my neck and head. I may end up having an extension or another probe or whatever they do for my lower back as well, but at least the neck pain is better. You might talk to your doctor about the scs. Good luck.
