back pain

I am having pain in my back across the hip area, about where the spine ends.  This is causing pain in my leg also.  The pain will get somewhat better when I am up moving around at a normal pace such as walking, but if I use stairs or make small steps(such as around a kitchen) the pain can get very intense.  When I am trying to sleep, it also hurts to turn over, I have also experienced muscle quivering in my thighs.  One night I stretched my legs to relieve the pain and my left left started jerking, the pain is also worse in my left leg.

You need to have some medical test on your low back. First a simple x-ray then a M.R.I. if needed. But physical therapy will probably help you, learning to exercise and how to not hurt your back any further. Physical pain like you describe will NOT be helped by any book. The pain you describe is a scientific back problem. Let us know what comes from the tests you need. When back pain is accomanied by leg pain it is a serious problem and should be addressed A.S.A.P.

Hope I Help

I have had very severe back pain for about 7 months now ..Since seeing a pysiotheropist 3 months ago there has been tremendous improvement..I would recommend that you read the book ...7 steps to a pain free life ..by ROBIN MCENZIE  as well as seeking a thereapist..regards Brenda ..
