What did your MRI show? I'm sorry, I haven't really found anything that helps. Mine wraps around, and its also constant, that's why I was asking. I haven't been diagnosed, I'm almost scared to find out what it is. I have a lot of neck problems I'm dealing right now too.
Hope your appointment goes well, and please let me know what kind of treatment your Neurologist recommends.
Take Care
Yes I just had the MRI & my pain is in my mid to lower back & it does kinda wrap around to the front! It is a constant pain that sometimes shoots with movement or twisting of my back! Any ideas?? I have an appointment with a neurologist on Thursday the 16th! Thanks
You just had a Thoracic MRI, where exactly is your pain and what kind is it? Does it wrap around to the front?
My fiance had pretty much the same symptoms. His pain was in his arms and hands and it was from pressure on his discs and nerves leading from his spine. You may have inadvertently pinched a spinal nerve or the fatty tissue is putting pressure on your discs in T4 and T10. I would think if the physician noted that there is fatty tissue in those areas then a neurologist would see you even with a negative MRI because even though it's benign it could still be putting pressure on the discs. My fiance saw a neurologist and had surgery to take care of the discs and the pinched nerves. Also, he went to physical therapy. He is practically brand new now! I'm not saying you will need surgery but I think you'll have a great peace of mind after you see the neurologist. After all, your physician may not understand the cause of your pain but a specialist who deals with brain/spinal cord will. Good luck! I hope you find out what's going on and feel better.
