Upper Back Pain between and immediately below my two shoulder blades

I've been experiencing a "dull"/"hollow" pain in my upper back between and immediately below my two shoulder blades. It is centered in the middle of my back and it feels like it radiates upward to my shoulder blades. It also feels like it's "inside" not on the surface. It doesn't feel like muscle pain, at least not the sort of muscle pain you get from exercise or fatigue, which is the only kind I know. It is not a sharp pain, it's fairly constant when it's there. It last for many days continuously but varies in intensity. I cannot definitely, however, pin point what triggers its intensity.
It's manageable pain, but very uncomfortable. I feel in in my back, but not in my chest (front).

I'll take a stab that you work a lot on computers?? The simple act of long hours sitting at a computer causes the thorasic area to be painful as you described. 'The muscles are indeed connected from the cervical, to the mid back and out to tour arts.

This of course can cause fatigued muscles and the pain you describe. Take breaks, stretch, go for walk, then see what your back feels like!!

Disc disease from the lower cervical area can refer to the shoulders, upper back and rhomboid area of the spine (between the shoulder blades.)

Deep, aching pain is a sign of referred pain.

I'd suggest a visit to your physician or a pain and spine specialist (MD, DABPM) for a diagnosis and treatment options.
