Hi,
I'm a 31 year old female that is suffering from transverse myelitis (inflammation of the spinal cord) from the Epstein Barre Virus and I have loss a significant amount of sensation on pretty much 100% of my body. My face, ears, neck, arms, legs, hands, feet and saddle area (buttocks, anus, and genitalia). The numbness began three months ago and have progressively gotten more numb each day. I've seen several doctors and we finally believe my spine is the source because whenever I sit or put any pressure on my back, it warms and the numbness intensifies. Waiting on MRI imaging and I've started a steroid treatment but I'm afraid I won't make a full recovery. Does anyone know anything about this and do you know if I'll get my sensation back, especially in the saddle area? Please help!
