Pain in right arm and elbow

There is loss of the normal lordosis, which may be due to
muscle spasm. Normal alignment is demonstrated.
Degenerative changes, most marked at C5 / C6, with
prominent anterior bridging osteophyte formation.
Facet joint degenerative change at C2-C3. No prevertebral
soft tissue swelling.

Thank you for your answer. I am having another MRI this Thursday as I had one 18months ago and this was not showing up so they want to do another one, I have had 3 car accidents in 2 years all being smashed up the back of me while standing still hence whiplash.  Can this be a cause of such degenerative downhill so quickly. Please let me know as this scares me as I have such bad aching in right arm and now get weakness which has caused me to spill boiling water on myself and have 2nd degree burns on my stomach.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Degenerative disc disease is a wear and tear disease. This may be present in form of drying up of disc or it may cause protrusions from vertebral bodies called osteophytes. These osteophytes then block the foramen or opening through which spinal nerves pass.
Usually for symptoms caused by disc prolapse or degenerative disc disease, conservative treatments like hot and cold compress, stretching exercises, back low impact exercises, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, specially designed corsets, spinal manipulation and traction and epidural injections are tried. If everything fails then laminectomy and other spine surgeries may be contemplated. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
