Back and neck pain along with headaches

My father was experiencing neck and back pain and headaches, and a few days later my mother started experiencing that same thing. My father now feels back to normal but my mother does not. For the past two or three days I have been experiencing neck and back pain from the top of my neck to the middle of my back and have had an on/off going headache. My mother thinks it may be a virus. Does anyone know exactly what this is?
