sharp pain in back

My question is I was walking into my house and all of a sudden started having sharp pains in the right side of my back.... it was from about my shoulder blade all the way to the lower part of my back.... If i was taking short breaths it didn't hurt but when I would breath normal or take a big breaht it would hurt really bad... that only lasted for a few min... what could that be and should I go to a doctor... its never happened before.

I don't know what it could be. I've experienced something somewhat similar to that. I was washing dishes, and all of the sudden I got this shooting pain in my lower back. It hurt when I breathed, sneezed, coughed, etc.

mistake... it wasn't the right side of my back it was the left.
