ALL women who have been or are on the pill, please answer!

if you're on the pill, PLEASE answer!

i know the pill is not 100% effective. and i know some people get pregnant on the pill.

on message boards, i think we get a false notion of how common it is to get pregnant on the pill because only the people who got pregnant on it or actually know people who did post answers on that subject of how effective the pill is.

now i'd like to do a poll for women who are on the pill who don't use condoms while having sex (because they're in a monogamous relationship, are married, or because they don't have STDs involved).

the pill is 99.7% effective with perfect use, 92-99.7% with typical use.

how many women who don't use condoms and are on the pill have successfully avoided pregnancy? how long have you been on the pill?

I was on the pill for about a year and a half.  I was in a monogamous relationship and I never took my pill at the same time and missed pills all of the time.  I would miss my pills 2 days in a row before remembering to take them the third day.  I did that all time.  Didn't use condoms, but only had sex maybe 10 times a month without condoms, never got pregnant.  Also I was on the patch for about two years (because I could never remember the pill)  while on that I probably had sex 5-10 times a week with that same guy and never got pregnant.  He's not shooting blanks because we have a 4 year old daughter, without using birth control then.

I've been on the pill for about 4 and a half - 5 years now (not sure of the exact date I started taking it!). I've been using the same brand of pill for the entire time. During this time I've been with 3 different partners in monogamous relationships where STDs were not a problem/were not involved (I get checked regularly and have never had an STD, and so far none of my patners have had any either).
I have used condoms in combination with the pill on occasion, but I don't use condoms with my partner regularly and I haven't got pregnant.
