Am i ovulating? how do i know?

Hi i am 26, & i WAS on b/c for 9 years (minus 3 pregnancies). I just had my Mirena renewd in Dec. & due to complications & too much pain i had to remove it Apr. 2 my cycle is all over the place & for the past 2 days  i have had extremely uncomfortable cramps on my right side. i was told that it could possibly be me ovulating. i've never experienced ovulation. how can i tell if i am, so i can be careful.

You can usually tell by the cervical mucus... Ovulation cervical mucus is usually clear and stretchy, also some women experience cramping while others don't.
